Pitti Uomo is over and I let the weekend pass by to consider what we had seen.
My dear staff Ms Duangsuda and Mrs Daniela were kind enough to join me on my trip to Florence last Wednesday.
It seemed that there was a remergence of smaller, niche specialized necktie manufacturers. At least I saw some companies I had either not seen before or had not seen for some time.
Prints seemed to have taken a larger role in the overall display, with florals and paisleys dominating.
But at the end of the day, for people like us, working on the commercial side of our trade rather than the artisanal side, sales will determine again what is to be beautiful or not.

And herewith the print line:
We are expecting another print collection for an autumn / winter denim look.
Updates will follow shortly.
Our first collections for autumn / winter 2016 / 2017 had been handed out to customers already.
A second set will be ready shortly before Pitti and customers will be notified.
There will be standard pure silk jacquard wovens and seasonal prints.
Depending on what we will see at Pitti, there will be a last third set available mid of February 2016.
The year 2015 nears its end.
It has been a demanding and challenging year since the signficant appreciation of the USD against the EUR in the first quarter.
With the help of our partners in China as well as our valued customers these trying times have been finally mastered.
Now we are looking enthusiastically to 2016 and our visit to Pitti Uomo on the 13th of January 2016.
Mrs Daniela, Ms Duangsuda and myself will attend the fair briefly to see if there are any new color and design trends, fabricwise new types of textures and structures to explore that will either show a common trend and / or will otherwise inspire us to develop new and fresh ideas for our customers.
The first set of our autumn / winter collection had been handed out already to our customers with a scond set on its way shortly.
If the fair will offer any new ideas a third and last set of our master autumn / winter collection 2016 / 2017 will follow.
A fair offers always also some brief opportunities to catch up on the lastest talk and gossip. Here and there one might bump into a former customer and supplier to whom we maintained always a cordial relationship regardless whether we enjoy on ongoing business or not.
Life is short, we always meet twice and a talk, smile, handshake does not cost anything.
